Hello everyone! I am xxxxx from class xxxxx and today I am giving you a speech on the story of "Little carp jumping the dragon gate":

Grandma Carp told the little carp a story about a carp ancestor jumping the dragon gate, saying that there is a paradise over the dragon gate and only brave little carp can jump over it.

After hearing this, the little carp decided to give it a try. So they talked to their little friends. The little carp were all eager to try and they all decided to go through the Dragon Gate.

The first time they jumped, the little carp got a big bloody bump on the front of its head, but it endured the pain and kept on trying.

The story of the little carp jumping over the dragon gate tells us the truth:

carp do not just jump once and then succeed, one must not be afraid of difficulties, challenge oneself and challenge the limits in order to overcome all difficulties!

　　A Foolish Chicken

　　Christmas was coming .Mr Smith had no money to buy any presents for his children .His wife was ill and he spent a lot of money on her medicine .And the harvest was bad and all his family were going go be hungry the next spring .He was quite worried about it .

　　“We had only a cock ,”said Mrs Smith one day .“You’d better take it to the town .Sell it there and buy some cakes and sweets for our children .”

　　“It’s a good idea !”the man said and caught the cock the next morning and put it into a box .It was difficult to walk on the road covered with thick snow .Two hours later he was very tied and wanted to have a rest .He put the box to the ground and sat down .

　　“The air in the box must be close ,”the man said to himself .“I’d better let the cock walk outside for a while ,or it’ll die .”

　　So he put the cock to the ground .When he started again ,he couldn’t catch it any longer .

　　“How foolish you are !”Mr Smith called out angrily .“You can herald the break of day at night but you cann’t find the way to the town in the daytime !”

The tiger shook his head,the deer said:"I don't know either." The bear said"I don't know." The monkey said"I don't know." At last, the lion asked the rabbit about it. "that goo-dong lives near me by the river."

Once there were three foxes, they worked together. They lived a happy life.

　　Little by little, the youngest fox became lazy, and often quarreled with the other foxes. The eldest had to leave, and the second fox was driven off, too.

　　Looking at the warm house with a lot of good food in it, the youngest fox smiled.

　　The eldest fox opened a new hill again.

　　The second eldest fox dug a pool. Two of them because rich soon.

　　The youngest fox ate up the food left by the other two foxes. In the end it felt so cold and hungry that it could not stand up.

　　从前有三只狐狸，他们愉快地工作和居住在一起。

　　最小的狐狸又懒又坏，经常同其他的两只狐狸争吵，气走了它的大哥和二哥。

　　最小的狐狸得意地住在温暖的房子里享受着丰富的食品。

　　最小的狐狸吃完了那些狐狸留下的所有食物，最后又冷又饿连站也站不起来。
