Mike is a little boy. He is only five years old. He is too small to go to school. So he can not read and write. One day he stood at my desk with a pencil in his hand. There was a big piece of paper on the desk.

He wanted to draw a picture of himself. He drew lines and cleared them out, then drew more and cleared them out again. When I looked at the picture, he wasn't happy. "Well," he said at last to me, "I'll put a tail on it and make it a monkey."

He began to add the tail. I began to laugh.

The Little Rabbit and the Carrot Garden

Once upon a time, in a beautiful forest, there lived a little rabbit named Lily. Lily was a very curious and adventurous rabbit. She loved to explore the forest and find new things.

One day, as she was hopping through the forest, she came across a wonderful garden filled with delicious carrots. The carrots were so big and juicy that Lily couldn't resist the temptation. She wanted to taste them all!

But there was a problem. The garden was fenced, and Lily couldn't get in. She tried to jump over the fence, but it was too high. She tried to dig under it, but the ground was too hard.

Just when Lily was feeling sad and disappointed, she heard a gentle voice saying, "Hello, little rabbit. Why are you so sad?"

Lily looked around and saw a wise old owl sitting on a nearby tree. She told the owl about the carrot garden and how she couldn't get in.

The owl smiled and said, "Little rabbit, you don't need to steal the carrots. Just ask the gardener for help. He will surely give you some carrots if you ask nicely."

Lily thanked the owl and decided to follow her advice. She found the gardener and asked him if she could have some carrots. The gardener was a kind man, and he gave Lily a whole basket of carrots!

Lily was so happy that she thanked the gardener many times and hopped back to the forest with her basket of carrots. She shared the carrots with her friends and family, and they all had a delicious feast.

From that day on, Lily learned an important lesson: it's always better to ask for help and be honest than to try to get things by stealing or tricking others. And she lived happily ever after, exploring the forest and making new friends along the way.
